How do you make an impact as a Data & Annotation Manager?
At Ellips, we develop advanced sorting systems that assess the quality of fresh fruits and vegetables. With our innovative technology, we contribute to efficient and sustainable food production. For our growing team, we are looking for an experienced and driven Annotation Manager.
Location: Hybrid, Eindhoven Office and remote
Employment Type: Minimum 24 hours per week
What are you going to do?
Annotations are the process of labeling or marking specific features in images, such as identifying defects, discolorations, or damages in fruits and vegetables. This data is critical for training our artificial intelligence systems to recognize these features automatically. As an Annotation Manager, you play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of this process.
Work activities as a Data & Annotation Manager:
- Reviewing the annotation work of other annotators to ensure quality.
- Preparing annotation tasks for other annotators in our annotation tool.
- Training new annotators on how to use our tools and processes.
- Monitoring the data uploaded from the field to our servers.
- Collaborating with the development team to decide which data can be assigned to annotators.
- Performing annotations yourself when necessary.
Who are you?
- Experience in evaluating fruits or vegetables is a plus.
- Affinity with computers and technology.
- Strong communication skills in English; Dutch is a plus.
- Availability for at least 24 hours per week.
- Independence and responsibility in your work.
- Willingness to work partly from the office.
